Lotte Kircher is a member of SWAN’s Executive Committee.
She is an industry consultant and programmer, living in Winterthur. After graduating from the University of Konstanz with a Master’s degree in Literature-Arts and Media, she started working for Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur, before moving on to Berlinale and Munich International Film Festival. She returned to Kurzfilmtage as Head of Industry where she was in charge of networking events, panels and international representation of the festival.
Lotte also worked with other festivals, to advocate for mental health in the film and festival industry. Together with Short Film Conference and Festival du Court Métrage de Clermont-Ferrand she launched a questionnaire on gender equality in the festival industry. It is geared towards gaining an international overview of equality in the festival- and selection teams, submissions and programmation. She represents Kurzfilmtage at the work group for sustainability at Zürcher Filmstiftung.
She also is a programmer for the youth competition sparks 12+. After commuting for several years, she moved to Winterthur in 2020 in order to focus full time on the Swiss film industry. After working at the Cultural Department of the City of Zurich, she has now joined the ARF/FDS.
