At SWAN's initiative, Locarno Festival President Marco Solari and Vice President Carla Speziali gathered on August 5th during the 71st Locarno Festival to sign the Programming Pledge for Parity and Inclusion in Cinema Festivals for new commitments for parity and equality in the industry.
SWAN was proud to be represented by director Ursula Meier, Pledge Godmother & SWAN Creative Council, and producer Pauline Gygax, Pledge Advisor & SWAN Advisory Council. The signing ceremony was opened with welcoming words by Isabelle Chassot, Federal Office of Culture Director, and SWAN Co-president Laura Kaehr who was sided by Co-presidents Gabriel Baur and Stéphane Mitchell.

Locarno Festival is the second A list festival after Cannes Film Festival to sign the Pledge,
as well as the first Swiss film festival.

the Film Festival Pledge for Parity and Inclusion
The signature took place on January 30th 2019 during the festival.
At the initiative of the Swiss Women’s Audiovisual Network SWAN, Solothurner Filmtage Director Seraina Rohrer and President Felix Gutzwiller, along with Pledge Godmother, Producer Tiziana Soudani, signed the Pledge for Parity and Inclusion in Cinema Festivals for new commitments for equality and diversity in the industry.

The signature took place on March 7th 2019 during the festival.
At the initiative of the Swiss Women’s Audiovisual Network SWAN, FIFF Director Thierry Jobin and President Mathieu Fleury, along with Pledge Godmother, Director and Actress Magaajyia Silberfeld, signed the Pledge for Parity and Inclusion in Cinema Festivals for new commitments for equality and diversity in the industry.

The signature took place on Avril 7th 2019 during the festival.
At the initiative of the Swiss Women’s Audiovisual Network SWAN, Visions du Réel Artistic Director Emilie Bujès and Vice-President Gilles Pache, along with Pledge Godmother, Editor Isabel Meier, signed the Pledge for Parity and Inclusion in Cinema Festivals for new commitments for equality and diversity in the industry.
