SWAN’s Locarno Networking Breakfast 2023

Welcome to SWAN’s Locarno Networking Breakfast at the Locarno Film Festival on August 6 from 10:00 to 13:00 in Sport Café! We are happy to invite you to this traditional annual event which gives the opportunity to women of our industry to connect.
During the breakfast, coffee, tea, pastries and juices will be served. And as per our tradition, we will host a discussion with distinguished guests.
Input: 5 Years of the Pledge for Gender Parity and Diversity in Film Festivals in Switzerland
In August 2023, we celebrate five years since Locarno Film Festival signed SWAN’s Pledge for Gender Parity and Diversity. It was the first Swiss festival to do so, and many others would follow. We can now reflect on the statistics collected over these years: Have the numbers improved? How is the pledge a useful tool for achieving this? What are the challenges women still face?
We will welcome Giona A. Nazzaro, film critic and artistic director of Locarno Film Festival, who will discuss the statistics for this edition of the festival, while other industry professionals will reflect on them and provide insights into what we can expect in the coming years.
The discussion will be held in English from 10:30 to 11:00.
