Panel discussion at 57 Solothurn Film Festival as part of the exhibition Women.Rights at the National Museum Zurich, moderated by Solothurn Film Festival director Anita Hugi and National Museum Zurich director Denise Tonella, featuring directors Anka Schmid and Marianne Pletscher, historian Elisabeth Joris, and film director and SWAN co-president Gabriel Baur.

The Focus Day, one day before Women’s Strike Day on June 14, invites the public, filmmakers, and the curious to embark together on a time travel through the 20th century from a female perspective, to engage in conversation about central themes, and to discuss Swiss film and its role in the recent women’s movement in Switzerland.

The Focus Day is a cooperation between the the National Museum Zurich and Solothurn Film Festival in partnership with Cinémathèque suisse, the online edition filmo – an initiative of the Solothurn Film Festival, the film schools HEAD and ZHdK as well as ARF/FDS and SWAN.
